Our premium blend

Our products are crafted using a blend of 50% merino lambswool, 40% possum fur and 10% mulberry silk. This beautiful blend creates extremely high-quality products that are light weight, warm, breathable and resistant to pilling forming balls of fluff on the surface. 

Possum Fur Benefits

Exceptional insulation properties: Possum fur has exceptional insulation properties. This is due the Possum fibers being uniquely hollow and extremely fine which acts to trap a tunnel of air and retain warmth (over 50% warmer than an 100% wool garment). 

Light weight natural fibres: Additionally, these hollow Possum fibers make our products extremely lightweight. Adding 40% possum fibers into our products alongside merino wool and mulberry silk reduces the weight of the garment by over 20%! 

Silky soft: Our possum fur products are extremely silky and soft to touch due to possum fur having no scales. 

Moisture absorption: Possum fibers absorb moisture effectively, away from the body. This adds to the warmth retention that our possum products provide. 

Enzyme that combats some skin conditions: Scientific studies have provided us with evidence that possum fibres have an enzyme that helps to resist skin conditions i.e. eczema. 

Globally recognized: Possum fur is recognized all over the world as an environmentally friendly and sustainable material.  

Merino wool benefits 

Comfortable: Merino wool tends to feel softer on the skin than many other wools due to its thinner fibres that are softer. 

Warm: Merino wool has scales which acts to trap our natural body heat in pockets around the body to retain boy warmth for a longer period of time. 

Body temperature regulation: Merino wool can naturally regulate our body temperature. It can release heat when necessary to prevent overheating. 

Moisture Absorption: Similar to possum fur mentioned above, merino wool can also act to absorb much of its weight in moisture and continue to insulate. It can draw perspiration off the skin. This will keep you not only warm but also relatively dry! 

Natural anti-odour properties: Merino wool is able to naturally combat the retention of bacteria and odour due to it containing lanolin. This also means that you don’t need to wash our products as regularly or as intensely as synthetic products! 

Shape retention: Merino wool’s elastic properties allows our products to retain its shape, making our products extremely durable for many years. This allows for all the outdoor physical activity you may engage in such as skiing and hiking. 

Mulberry silk benefits

Breathable: Mulberry silk is able to draw moisture away for us as we perspire. 

Combats microbial growth: As mentioned above, mulberry silk has a wicking ability to draw moisture away from us as we perspire. This also means that the bacteria, fungi that depend on water to survive dissipates alongside the perspiration. 

Exceptionally soft: Mulberry silk in the softest and most smoothest type of silk adding to that soft comfortable feel of our products.
